Cedar Breaks National Monument - Another colorful spectacle at 10,000 feet

En route back to Hurricane from Bryce Canyon, we decided to "drive through" the Cedar Breaks National Monument. Much smaller than the National Parks, this NPS-managed park is very similar to Bryce. The main distinction is that these overlooks are over 10,000 feet in elevation - while the temps were in the high 90's in the canyons, it was 66 at Cedar Breaks. And windy. It was very refreshing. This park is closed to all but snow mobiles and snow-shoe hikers - they get 15 feet of snow. In mid June, some of the snow remained.
